Charlotte Gainsbourg who has previously been connected with the fashions of Gérard Darel, admits that "Darel is a bit like family history to me".  She makes her return to the house under its new management, run by Danièle Darel who will proceed with a new vision and strengthen the house's style identity with a fresh interpretation of the classic pieces. 

"A moment of grace" is the ideal expression of this new FW 2016-17 campaign which focuses on Darel's fundamentals: pieces inspired by a man's wardrobe created to enhance a woman’s femininity, showcased in the swinging hang-out that was once home to crooner Franck Sinatra. One cannot miss the subtle references in the use of this setting to Serge Gainsbourg's musical heritage.

Just like the collection, Charlotte’s role as an ambassador is a constant inspiration to us. She showcases the garments of this fall wardrobe, with their clean cuts and luxurious fabrics to perfection.  The leopard pattern coat looks amazing on the actress' delicate and androgynous body frame, and the velvet fabric, an essential trend for fall, showcased in a deep Bordeaux color, perfectly accentuates her porcelain skin tones.
