Jack Daniel’s Distillery – 150th anniversary treasure hunt
Just as true French champagne can only be produced in France, Tennessee whiskey is a product that can only be made in the southern United States. To celebrate the anniversary, 150 barrels have been hidden around the world !

Approximately four hours northwest by car from Atlanta Hartsfield airport, there is a small town called Lynchburg, Tennessee. It is a beautifully landscaped property with streams, farm animals, and small wooded areas to sit and enjoy. The crisp smell of whiskey is faint in the air. American’s are proud to know that the Jack Daniel’s Distillery is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The person who enjoys Jack Daniel’s knows that the whiskey in the familiar bottle will always be consistent in quality and taste.

Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey can be enjoyed “neat” in a short glass, or with a single cube of ice. To enjoy it as a cocktail, especially since mixing cocktails is extremely trendy at the moment, on a warm summer evening, it is best served with ginger beer, a lime wedge and a sprig of mint – served in an ice-cold copper mug, it is known as a “Tennessee Mule”. Tennessee whiskey can be the theme of a summer sunset dinner, with whiskey barbeque meatballs and a strong cheese to begin with, a main dish of whiskey glazed salmon cooked on the grill with a summer vegetable salad, and triple whiskey cake for dessert. All of these recipes and more can be found with a quick search for “whiskey dinner party” on Pinterest. Enjoyed quietly alone while sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch, or with a room full of festive friends celebrating summer, a glass of Jack Daniel’s is always a neat treat.
